As the red open sleigh slid across the winter paved road in the middle of the snow covered forest, the soft bells that hung on the sled jingled signaling to everyone that they was a sleigh coming. The ivory horse trampled on top of the snow, dragging the sleigh like a reindeer through the dark night. Her butler; who wore a long black coat, red gloves along with a scarf sang the traditional Christmas song, "Jingle Bells" happily. His long white hair placed in a ponytail swished as his head moved to the melancholy beat of his singing. She sighed heavily as she grabbed a hold of her right hands wrist. "Can you sing anything else but that annoying song?" she requested. He gave out a laugh, "I'm in the Christmas spirit, Misses! It is after all Christmas day." "Well get out of that spirit, Winston." she snipped. "I do believe that it was you, Misses, that requested we visit Sir Penton on this day. Heaving the Christmas presents for the orphaned children's." he mentioned.

Her cold eyes glared at the golden and red wrapped presents that sat beside her. She shook her head, awing at what she was about to do. The grip around her right wrist became tighter. It was because she had said something she shouldn't have when she denied Sir Pentons' request to join him at the orphanage for a Christmas Eve dinner. She admitted for the first time in years, that she was the cause of the forever winter in the country. Her hatred for the humans that treated her wrongly was still in her heart and because of this, she turned into a cold bitter selfish woman who only cared about herself. Though he was the only thing that finally melted that frigid heart of hers.

And so as an apology for being ruthless and selfish about whom she spent her inheritance money on what she described, "Worthless Human Children"; She bought the orphaned children gifts she assumed they would enjoy. Her eyes gazed down at the blue satin sashes she wore around her waist of her pure white dress. A soft smile flew across her stone cold face as she remembered the song her best friend sang about her favorite things before she passed away. She sang about how she loved the raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens. But most of all, she loved girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes. Closing her eyes, she sighed out a, "Dashing through the snow..." Winstons head slightly turned around to get a glimpse of his misses. He chuckled softly, turning back around to face the front. "In a one horse open sleigh!!" he sang boisterously.

She sighed heavily as the platform she hovered on for the past few hours came to a halt. Her long silk green skirt hanging over the platform and her shoulder-length hair was being startled by the kind flowing wind. Her black eyes examined what she hasn't seen since she ran away all those years ago. Dune Towers. The thought crossed her mind that she might see that man who stole her heart from her and she couldn't bare staring into his red eyes again. The feeling of senseless betrayal and blissful ignorance might come back to her mind. How she wished she could go back in time and never fall in love with that demon who turned her in for the monster she truly was. But that was only wishful thinking. You could never go back into the past and change what has already happened. Though, she could always turn around- run away from this place as fast as possible before someone from there sees her. But she couldn't. The one thing that was most precious to her in life had been taken from her and dragged to Dune Towers. She gave out an annoyed sigh, "This is going to be trouble some."

The Raven Kings Wife Short

The Raven King's Wife short

The Crow could be heard from a mile away. His strong voice shrieked, scaring everyone and everything in its path. His large form shadowed over the duskiness streets as he moved. He was coming, and she knew it.

The sun was already beginning to set and the night was ready to rise. She grinned her teeth together as she set her hand on the doorknob to the back door. "Do you hear him child!?" A heavy accent woman's voice carried throughout the one story home. "Yeah, I hear him." She huffed out. Her hand turned the doorknob and she pulled the door opened. She took a step out onto the porch. Her eyes, skimming through the dark open plains. She could hear his voice getting closer. She cringed, slightly shaking her head.
