The Pumpkin King thought about it
Helping this child return home
To a place where they belonged
His mind accepted this thought
Yet his heart
Was conflicted with pain
He couldn't part with something he loved

And so keeping this child a secret
Away from the world he ruled
He told this child
To never leave the palace grounds
Ever again
